2012 already?!?

I have majorly neglected this blog... My sincerest apologies. We have been sick since a few days after Christmas and we are finally getting better! Hallelujah!

I hope everyone's holidays were wonderful and I promise many interesting blogs for the next year to come. I am working on a project that will be finished soon... A wooden toy box for my friend's niece. I made her a cute sign with her name on it last year.

Keep checking back and see what many things we will be doing this year. My New Year's resolutions are interesting and include a new craft every month (in bulk to sell at the tree farm and tractor and truck shows too). I will blog about anything and everything involving them... So I hope you won't get too bored!

Have a great Monday night and I will talk with y'all soon!

Just another day at the farm...

We've had a busy day today at the Christmas tree farm. It's been fun seeing old faces and meeting new ones too. I always love this time of year!

I've been making wreaths upon order and they are turning out great! Here's a picture of two I'm about to deliver now...

Happy Monday and we'll talk to you soon.

Day 1 first post from Tammy

Well i have finally decided i had time to post a comment, this is new to me, so bear with me. I have been working hard trying to come up with some goodies to bake for the Christmas season. We have decided to bake quick breads, cookies, candy and of course the all time favorite Marshmellow sticks. I have also been working hard on Orange Marmalade and Apple Butter. My goal for the upcoming weekend is to make more jelly and some cranberry sauce so wish me luck and be looking forward to my next post.

Days 6-8

Whew! These last few days have been crazy... Saturday, I did school work, went to a wedding and worked on Christmas Shoppe inventory. I made the glass stone ornaments, made a few jute-wrapped ornaments. I traced out and drew the new patterns on the remaining napkins as well.

Sunday, Abigail and I had a great day together. We played, watches movies and cooked semi-homemade calzones. During her much-needed naps, I stitched napkins and cleaned up our messes. We had a great time shopping with Lindsey and then went to dinner with her and Abigail's Uncle Johnny. After Abigail went to bed, I painted the clay birds and glittered them, stenciled and painted burlap for "Merry" and "Christmas" pillows and made jute-wrapped trees.

Yesterday was back to work on the farm... I picked up 4,000 (yes, that many!) onion plants and helped lay the plastic for the rows. Then I went about putting price tags on the Christmas Trees. We had company for dinner and I, then, spent 141 minutes on the phone with Travelocity to get tickets only to gave them tell me to cancel with them and book with the airline! They tell me to cancel and want to charge me the non-refundable booking fee?!?! Get real! Now, things are handled and we're finally good to go! I will never consider Travelocity for any travel arrangements again! I was spending $90 more with them than going to the airline directly. CRAZY!!!

Well, time to get this show on the road. We already picked up a gallon of Egyptian Multiplying Onions in Woodbury and are heading to the farm (minus a pit stop at McDonald's).

Talk to everyone tonight!

Day 5

Today was a laid back day! I didn't get nearly what I wanted done... but there's always tomorrow and Sunday! Plus, I keep finding finding these other great projects to try. I'm killing my own momentum by looking on doggone Pinterest.

Tomorrow morning will start off with some schoolwork and then I'll get busy. Plus, I have a wedding to go to tomorrow night (congratulations to Lori and Jimbo). Whew! I'm exhausted just thinking about my weekend.

And I don't want to forget... it's my best friend's birthday tomorrow (technically it's today since it's 12:20 am)! I hope she has a great day at the UGA-Auburn game. Happy Birthday, Lindsey!!!!!!

Good night!
Steph

P. S. I hope my hubby (Greg) kills a big deer this week!

11/11/11

A little bit of an early post and I'll do another tonight, but there are a couple of things I wanted to say...

First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the greatest Dad in the world! We're very lucky to have you as such a major part of our lives. We love you very much!

Second, I want to thank all the veterans and current men and women who are keeping this country free and safe. I am proud to be an American and am truly thankful for each person who made and makes that possible. I salute all the heroes of this world today (and everyday)! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and God bless you all! Happy Veterans Day! Steph
